Joseph Falsetta, My dad does anyone remember him?

My father Joseph Falsetta was from Brooklyn NY and he served in the Marines from Jan 1944 until April 1946. I just found his Green US Marine Uniform with the 6th Marine division Patch on it shoulder. I have just started my family tree research and because my father never talked about the war a big chunk of info is missing. He passed away in 1978.
