I am researching USMC infantry tactics during World War II, especially the development and use of the fire-team organization. I would be interested in hearing from any 6th Division veterans who would be willing to share their experences and thoughts on USMC infantry tactics. Thank you.

Re: Re: Researcher Seeks Information

Re: Researcher Seeks Information

The Marine Corps has an excellent resource that you could probably use. They have compiled on a CD many of the reports written by the officers, at all levels of most of the WWII campaigns. They come on two separate CD’s. The first is:
FMFRP 12-34
History of US Marine Corps Operations in World War II
The PCN# is 14012992200

The next on is:
Marine Corps Historical Publications.
The PCN# is 14012992300

If you go to www.usmc.mil, then click on publications. Go to the link that is labeled Marine Corps Doctrinal Publications. You may be able to find them there. If not let me know and I may be able to help further.
