I am attempting to obtain the highlights of the military service of Darrell Snelling who entered the Marine Corps from Pawnee, Illinois. Classmates tell me that he served in the grade of Staff Sergeant in Hq & Hq Co, 6th Marine Division. That is the total of the information that I have. I seek this information for the purpose of honoring him by adding his name to the World War II Registry of Remembranc- es, a registry of the World War II Veterans Memorial now under construction on the Mall in Washington, D.
