Little background on myself I'm 22 living in Ontario Canada, been practicing nudism for a little over a year. I really want to go to a beach or resort but have been feeling very overwhelmed at the idea and anxious. One of the main reasons (and it may be silly) is that I have never seen or read about any people of colour in nudism. I myself am mixed race and I feel like I'd feel like the odd man out, and end up not enjoying my time and overthinking everything.

Please if anybody has some advice or maybe situations that happened please share, eventually I would hope to still end up going regardless. Cheers!

Although I have Never understood Why there has not been greater participation of others who are of different races/ethnic backgrounds, I think it would be Great to have the opportunity to interact with others of different backgrounds and experiences.

I think it would be more enlightening for all - we nudist have a strong ability and desire to meet and discuss life on levels we don't normally have the opportunity to do so with others - NO matter their differences ...that's one of the things I enjoy greatly. ...we are anomalous (sp) as individuals and our position/jobs in life, unless we voluntary it - which is generally not encouraged. And, to be able to talk about our life experiences that tend to be unique to our respective racial backgrounds would be refreshing.

Although it is true that "minorities" get little media representation (in great part because we represent maybe 5% of the nudist population), we are certainly out there.

I am myself biracial. Perhaps because we live close to a major city, the population at my resort is very diverse. One of the couples my wife and I hang out with is Chinese. There are a few Indian people; as a matter of fact a good friend of my wife's (before her moved) was Indian. And there are always Black people around too. Even more so Hispanic. I would expect the same thing around Ontario.

My ex-wife is Black; and in spite of the fact that she was frequently the only Black woman around at the resort/club (this was many years ago in the Deep South), she never had issues being accepted, and I'd even say embraced by the nudist community.

So I would say you have nothing to worry about.
