Gutted to see that the report on new sports for 2012, and squash's chances virtually annihilated. If there's any sport that needs to be in the olympics itinerary its squash, but i guess there are lots of politics in play.

You are right, the politics are key. The news today is that it will only take 51% of the IOC Members' votes to keep a sport on the programme, but for a new sport to get on they have to poll 75%.

I reckon there's a chance Karate might replace Taekwondo, but the others are going to have to fight really hard to get in.
