A quick question regarding the draw for this year's South Island champs in NZ.

What's with the seedings and draw for this event? Here are the seeds with their world ranking:

I realise the draw is made earlier and based on a different month's rankings (and I couldn't quite be bothered checking all of their individual last month's rankings) but surely the variances are too large? In particular, Brad Hindle PSA 92 seeded 13 under people ranked 196, 185, 172, 156, 175, 154, 157, 138, 111.

Where's the fifth seed?

The wild card may well be a qualifier: Stewart Boswell.

If you look at the PSA website then you see a different draw. The main change being that it is not Brad Hindle but Brad Freeme who is playing.

I guess the 5th seed may have pulled out. On the PSA site however Campbell Grayson is 5th seed.

It's all pretty immaterial given that Boswell will pan-handle the lot of them if his back holds up.
