big deal

Re: Re: Lee did it again!!!

Tim stop picking on people..

Re: Re: Lee did it again!!!

I'm just one of those self professed 'squash nerds' who wants to know about all latest squash equipment, and I thought this would be the forum for it.
If you dont have an answer or a thought dont waste your time posting intelligent things like 'big deal'.

Love Vic

Re: Re: Re: Lee did it again!!!

He is using one of the new Dunlop "ICE" rackets, but I don't know which one. There was a Dunlop stand at the British Nationals with them on it. They're quite nice!!!

Re: Re: Re: Lee did it again!!!

I'm also a squash enthusiast, but I stop short from calling myself a nerd (others may disagree!). I also like to keep up to date with the latest squash kit.

Looks like Beachill has a new racket but, in my previous Dunlop experiences, they're all the same racket just painted different and with different weights!!! They may quote different technologies like Hot Melt this 'n' that, but can you really tell??? Personally, I think all Dunlops feel like rubber.

Re: Lee did it again!!!

...all the pros seem to go for the dunlops though. Is that because they genuinely like that rubber feel or is it because dunlop spend loads of cash on sponsorship...

Re: Re: Lee did it again!!!

Must be the sponsorship!!!!!!

Re: Re: Re: Lee did it again!!!

I've had the fortune of talking to some of the PSA's top guys honestly on the subject and they admit that they are originally drawn to the sponsorship but with time they learn to love the brand, and with the pro's input the racket and stringing can be customized any way they want.
p.s. thanks for the info.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Lee did it again!!!

Mmmmm...... I don't want to appear cynical, but I suspect the PSA players have to talk enthusiastically about their sponsors.

And, as a comparison, if you were to drink T*sco Value Beer every day for a year, you'd sure get used to it, maybe even grow fond of it, but it don't mean it's good stuff! Horses for courses, say I.

Re: Lee did it again!!!

Anyone know when the new range of Dunlops will be for sale on the high street/internet then?

Re: Lee did it again!!!

The racket is the new 140g using ICE technology there is also a 145g variation in blue and silver.

Re: Re: Lee did it again!!!
