Intentional Communities

Hello There!

Here at CaretakerNetwork we have a special place in our hearts for farm communities and communities with cottage industries out there, always looking for interns, volunteers or members to help with the harvest.

We have found some excellent links, over the years of communities, ecovillages, organic farms and co-housing.

We have them listed on our links page. Please contact us with additional great links. And if you are a community -- please add a classified ad to the "employers" ad site encouraging new members.

know where to begin, some seem really exclusive and others need all your money to join, any ideas out there please?

Re: Intentional Communities

Hello out there.
I just wanted everyone to know that we have a couple of farmers posted in our classifieds that are desiring folks to help them create community. Please check these out, we have spoken to both groups and they are great people.

One is called Dapala Farm (CSA Farm Partnership)and the other is Moss Mountain (Apprentice Gardener needed in SW WA) . Both are in Washington State.

Here is the link to the classified page:

Re: Intentional Communities

We are a husband and wife team that enjoy traveling around the country and working on farms that are in need of an "extra boost of energy".

We have experience in organic farming, natural pest control, biodynamic gardening, and citrus grove care. We also have a great interest in alternative building, such as cordwood, strawbale and cobb.

Hubby has work experience in interior environmental building cleaning, such as mold eradication. We work together on building remodeling and eco-friendly renovations.

Ideally, we look for work on organic farms that seek community and are in need of a couple to take over a project. We enjoy networking with like-minded folk and learning what's 'out-there'.
We love the idea of this forum as a tool to create community. Thanks!
