The problem is that I'm translating this from Russian and need a proper term for this omega.

This omega appears in tensor-linear constitutive equations relating the tensor of generalized stresses and the tensor of finite strains and describing the deformation of a body along rectilinear paths.

What this omega is I've described in my previous posting.

In Russian it is called the angle of the type of the strain state, but this is a literary translation.
