Hi, I wanted to ask what my orientation is. I always found all those questions: "am I gay/lesbian?" asked on the net silly because this is something everybody should know on their own but now I think the people asking those questions just had the same sort of "problem" as myself. I want to clarify I never read those questions and I don't perceive mine a problem because I'm basically heterosexual so I could find a man to date - if I didn't have avoidant personality disorder and Aspergers with which I was dianosed 2 years ago; if I were a lesbian, I would have difficulties to find women like me to date because gay/bisexual people are in minority.
I am basically interested in the members of the opposite sex (males) but I am also interested in female bodies too - just bodies, not faces (however it's nice when a woman has a pretty face). I like slender women with big breasts. But I wouldn't ever fall in love with another woman, I'm just interested in their bodies not in relationships with them because as for this issue, I'm interested only in the physical side of them. Male and (hot) female bodies arouse me. But I don't perceive myself bisexual (maybe bi-curious). What do you think, is it mild bisexuality?
Don't worry, even straight males don't want a relationship with women, just their bodies. :P Anyways, to me atleast, you seem bi-sexual. Sexuality has nothing to do with relationships. We like who we like and we get turned on by what we get turned on, they have very little to do with eachother.
But it's like that I love guys not women, every time when I have a crush it's ONLY on a man not on a woman. And while I may be interested (and often indeed am) in males who don't follow the commonly accepted pattern of attractiveness (like elderly or ugly), when it's about a woman, she must be beautiful (I mean, with a beautiful body) and young or at least relatively young, to be more precise I like women in their middle 20's most and later those in their middle 30's. I wouldn't like to be in a relationship with women because I don't find them attractive, just their bodies and taht's all. In the same way I wouldn't like to be in a relationship with an animal although I can think this cat or dog is pretty (in a non zoophiliac way) in the same way, taht's how it works.
Carmela, you missed my point entirely. I didn't suggest anything you just said. I meant that it doesn't make you attracted to A woman, but their bodies. The attraction towards the mind and body of a person is totally separated.
Lega, it was a joke, get a sense of humour. Also, i've been sexually active for 12 years, get over yourself.
But I'd like to specify that I'm not attracted to the bodies of practially all women (as it happens with males; if a man looks at least average then I can find him attractive) but to just some of them - those who are attractive.
Yes, I'm atracted just to pretty bodies. Let's say that there is a group of man and the other one consisting of females. I will look at the men with erotic pleasure for as long as they are at least average in terms of looks, I won't be interested in the ugly men. But as for the group of the females, then I will be idifferent to them until theer are those who are physically attractive: the average looking (let alone the ugly) won't make any impression on me - just those hot ones.
That's just your preference. There is no standard on what is attractive and what isn't. Some people only find supermodel bodies attractive, are they less straight than those that find average people attractive? There is no need to try to justify you finding women and men attractive. Whatever your preference doesn't change the fact.
But still there's some GENERAL standard as for what is attractive and what isn't, it has its source in biology. Though standards of beauty changed through the centuries, theer still are some general "rules" one needs to follow to be considered attractive (but for people with paraphilias which are rare). I know for some man a blonde headed woman will be more attractive than the red headed one or a brunette while for the other one a ginger will be the most attractive, the same is with the height or weight or a race for whom this woman belongs but still, those are just quite superficial layers of beauty while the core is somewhere else - none of them would find this woman beautiful if she had for example a big crooked nose and was obese.
A completely, 100% straight, woman wouldn't look at the other females in a sexual manner, regardless of their attractiveness. I find some animals attractive too (attractive in the sense beautiful not sexually arousing) but I'm not into zophilia.
So, where is the confusion here then? You seem to know exactly what gets you going and why. :)
I speak as no expert but media and society has made it acceptable for attractive women to be possibly sexually appealing to a woman or a man. Afterall, how many guys say they are turned off by two women kissing versus seeing two men kissing?
You sound heterosexual from your descriptions, even if "hot" women turn you on. You don't mention if you have sexual experience with women...but if not, then perhaps you are following the popular pornography portrayl of what women might be turned on by.
Hexi made a good point, where is the confusion? You know what you like...why think that it is confusing? Afterall, sexual attractiveness is just that...and being gay or straight is not a black or white phenomenon, it is more shades of gray from my understanding. Or perhaps like a scale from 1- 10.
