Residents of Lascelles St Cecil Hills purchased their land thirteen years ago for the vista that was associated with the area and paid the extra cost to have this outlook and an enjoyable lifestyle. Brochures produced by Landcom display the virtues of the area by advertising “lakes” on their promotional material. At the meeting on 6 May 2009 Landcom representatives Michael Burt and Donna Savage argued that no body of water exists on their plans or any plans held by Liverpool Council. Mr. Burt went as far to say that the area was not accessible to the public as it was private property and members of the public should not be on the area for any reason including recreational use. Mr. Burt also stated that the area was fenced and there were no access points. I tried to explain to Mr. Burt that the whole area is peppered with entry points for people to gain access to enjoy the recreational attributes of the area.
