Following a letter to you by myself dated 22 May 2009 concerning the filling of lakes in the Cecil Hills area a group has been formed and reused the acronym L.A.K.E.S, Local Against Killing our Eco System. This acronym was developed by residents after similar concerns over the lakes in the Cecil Hills area in 2006.
L.A.K.E.S is not opposed to progress and is not opposed to the development of the area to be known as Cecil Gardens. We would be happy to see the development begin on the western side of the Hinchinbrook Creek and continue to the M7 Motorway.
