Subject: Very Urgent Prayer Request

Dear Brother in Christ,

My doctor did call me today and she told me the results from her research that I was in bad condition. I got that news I have very bad Regurgitation But I have to wait for 3 - 6 moths for an operation.

After operation that is very long time. I'm on special food that cost much for me.

Please, I don't want to be selfish But I want to ask for prayer - that I will not have wait that Long Time after this operation. Wow I can´t wait that long time - that not posible. I know God Can do miracles.

Please it would be best if I were healed sooner. But my operation would have been much sooner - about 12 weeks ago I was eating breed and I almost suffocation. I did call ambulance and they did come. I just came home from hospital and I have to eat just yogurt & soup next days or weeks. I did have to go and do research. Inside my throat are so sore lot of swelling inside much swollen in oesophagus , 2 days later I did have hard time breathing and I went to hospital again & they did send me home with medication.

The next day I could not eat yogurt & soup, not even water. I did ended up in the hospital again and they did make another research. The same results they told me you will be able to eat next days but that was the case for next 6 weeks. I was just able eat yogurt & soup, build up drink. I was getting very week physically. Well, I did order more time with specialist doctors and she did look in file & said there is something wrong here. I will go into deep research on esophagus after 2 days. I did have to stop taking medication one week before the research. I feel so much pain, all the doctors have told me I should have recovered by now but I have not recovered. But I can eat mixed baby food with pasta.
I have admitted I'm so scared or frightened I feel some times I'm having a hard time breathing.

I Love Jesus with all my heart. He have really work in my heart through this sickness. I was not in church for some years but now I have enjoyed wonderful church though this. I'm almost all nights in that church with live worship. It is so strange before this happens I did ask Lord to help me stop smoking & I did drink soda, Pepsi Cola. I drank about 4 Liter each day.

I remember saying I can not do this in my own strength. Well I have not smoked cigarettes since or drink Pepsi in 12 weeks. This never happen before so I'm to do that again because of hard time breathing. I will never do that again - that for sure
this been so slow recovery. I'm in anxiety for the deep research on my oesophagus because after 2 days
I get a bad panic attack after this experience.
Please pray for me - I needed prayer. I was born again in church in 1989.

Dear Jóhann Helgason,

It is hard to ascertain by your letter if what you were describing was throat cancer or a gastro-intestinal disorder like "Acid Reflux Disease." It is clear that you are having great difficulty and are in pain. Because you have asked us to pray for you Johann, we are more than pleased to do so but know that your properly aligned faith in Christ is what will bring about true healing. Many people reached out to Jesus for His healing powers but few sought Him for much else than His gift of miracles. We hope and pray that God can glorify His-self in you through the power of your faith in Him and His healing of your affliction. I hope that God will empower you to keep making better choices in your life so that you may not be adversly affected by the things which are harmful to you personally. I also hope that should God desire a miraculous healing of your body, the doctors and surgeons will be mystified by the miraculous healing if God should permit. Keep praying that God will grant you mercy and comfort and ask Him to use you to bear witness of His power through you so that others will also see the glory of God in your healing. Remember that it will be your proper faith (trust) in God's Son that produces the desired result.

Dear Heavenly Father, we pray on behalf of Jóhann Helgason in the name of your Son, Christ Jesus to bring about a miraculous healing for his medical condition and we give thanks Lord for your abundant mercy upon us and also for your forgiveness of our sins. We pray oh Lord that you forgive any sins that Jóhann Helgason may have committed against you as he also forgives those who have transgressed him. We also ask you Lord to glorify yourself in this request to show and bear witness of the wonderful power of faith so that others may also see your faithfulness and mercy upon all who ask in the name of your Son. Use this opportunity Lord according to your will and protect each of us Lord from the many trials and assaults of the enemy. Lead us all into your righteousness and your mercy seat and help us Lord to be made new again in your Son's image. Please Father, we ask in the name of Jesus that you give Jóhann an opportunity to live a right and just life giving you praise all the rest of his days on earth. We are ever thankful Lord for your grace and mercy and we acknowledge that only through Christ Jesus can we achieve anything worthy so we also seek the same for Jóhann in the hope that he too will become a powerful witness and an obedient son as we so desire so that we all may be counted worthy of your Son's sacrifice. May all the glory, honor and dominion be yours Lord in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit - grant as we pray oh Lord - AMEN
