Greetings, 64 years ago when I was 6 years old I took apart a locomotive thinking there must be some way to make it go FASTER!!!!!!!! As I tore into it ..........the springs keeping tension on the brushes went FLYING and never were found! Check local HOBBY SHOPS in your area that have model trains and offer repair services as many things can go wrong on a DIY basis. Irvin
