Hello David. First of all the #248 IS the engine for your set. The #1110, unles it is an American Flyer electric style, is a much later model, from a different set. I assume the passenger cars are four-wheeled.
My references do not refer to an " Early Yellow Color" version. Were they painted?
Some of those numbers are not pre-war Lionel. Maybe post-war Lionel, 1949 or later.
They could be American Flyer if they are three rail or even Ives electric trains.
