I have an old set of BIG trains over 80 years old. How do I go about getting them appraised for selling? I have the tracks, also, but no transformer. The engine says LIONEL 400E and is 16 inches long and 6 inches high.
That train is worth over $1000 in good condition. Recommend you research it in Greenberg's Guide to Lionel trains before you sell to anyone for less. Good luck!
My Greenberg's Book .............and it is a 2007 edition........lists the price from $1,400.00 all the way up to $2,400.00 depending on "finish" and condition. You would be wise to consult an expert in your local area before parting with this item as you could be shortchanged a bunch of money! Determine the value and then list with a "reserve" for the bottom line value. Let the actual bidders determine the value to them and you will be better for it.
