This is the best time of the year, christmas the best excuse to put up a train. I remember when i was a young lad growing up,I knew that along with the christmas tree goung up we would be putting up the train. Our train was a basic lionel set my father purchased from my uncle it was led by a #242 engine and tender followed by a few hoppers and a log car and the always popular lionel 6017 caboose(they must have made a ton of them). Then in later years we picked up a rock island set with a small red engine and a few cars so we added that under the tree two trains i was in heaven until the next summer we found another flea market find another set led by a republic steel swithcer and some cars now we had three trains under the tree to my delight. What a wonderful time of the year. Now Im 27 and have alot of trains but still no where to set them up except at christmas time under the tree!!!!
