Train City, Inc. Owns and operates this site. Train City, Inc. has always believed in turn over of merchandise. A good percentage of traincity auctions on this site are successful within the first post of week long auctions.
We have noticed an increasing number of sellers on this site that are offering items at an exceedingly high starting price. Many of these auctions run forever and never sell. Unfortunately this method of selling doesn’t relate to our idea of an auction. This is an auction site, and is not meant to be used as a store.
We do appreciate everyone that posts on this site, but at this time feel that there are too many ‘store’ type auctions.
Everyone is welcome to use our site to sell trains. However we are making some changes to our price structure and policies to encourage sellers to use this site more as an auction medium than a store.
As of October 15th, 2009 we will charge 25 cents to place auctions as well as the successful auction charges already in affect. Further we will not allow auctions to appear for more than 90 days on this site. Auctions appearing for longer than 90 days will be deleted.
Once again, we do appreciate those who have posted auctions with us over the years. We hope that you will continue to do so.
