Hello... I am very new to the train collection world. My husband's uncle has passed on a complete Lionel Electric Train Set that, from what I have found, is part of the postwar collection. We believe it is a 1947 set. It has all the pieces to the track and everything. We were curious as to the value of this set. I am not sure the exact name of the set but it appears to be a coal train. It has an orange car that says Baby Ruth on it and a red caboose. The train has been in a box for the past 50 years and appears to be in good shape. I would appreciate any response to the value or any other information you can get me. Thanks.

It sounds like it might be a 4110ws set. That locomotive is numbered 671, with a 4671w tender. The set has 2 coal type cars, 4452 and 5459, plus a Baby Ruth boxcar, x4454, and a 4357 caboose. It should also contain a coaling station, #97 and a semaphore signal, #151. Check the numbers on what you have and post here if that's it.
