'our auction specialist keeps telling me that many mail order companies take 7 to 14 days before they ship!'--BAD IDEA!! BUYERS WILL CHANGE TO EBAY IN A HEARTBEAT!!

I'm not sure what auction specialist you are refering to.

At traincity we normally get items out within one or two days. However recently due to staffing problems we have run behind a couple of days. We should be back on track within 2 weeks.

But I do agree 3 weeks would not work for most customers. Huge mail order houses get so busy that they can't handle the volume and get behind that far. Now that would be a great problem to have, but I think I'd hire new staff if it got anywhere near that bad!

OK-I won 5 aucttons, and received them in just 7 days. That is pretty good. However, on YOUR HOMEPAGE,YOUR assistant, Jean, made the remark that mail order Cos take up to 2 weeks to ship. that is what my original message was about. Now you say you have no idea who I was referring too? DO NOT PLAY ME FOR A FOOL! i am seriosly considering returning to Ebay.

Where on our homepage did Jean say that? Actually I am the only one who has access to our home page so I don't know how that could be possible. She must have made that statement in an email or something?

I do agree with you that if shipping took 3 weeks that would be really bad. Fast shipping has always been our agenda. It is only recently with staffing problems that we got a little behind and that was only a day or two. We have it under control now and have another new employee starting Tuesday thus we should be back to normal, in a very short period of time.

OK so you received the shipment in a week. I don't understand what the problem is.

OK-maybe I'm wrong. Then again, maybe 'Mic', who left message on 8/23 at 7:54 PM is also wrong. I received pkg in 7 days, and I said that was pretty good- not a problem. I even left positive feedback. Maybe uou should get someone else to read your messages. I give up. It's been real.

Awbelkay is correct. Charles did quote Jean as saying that about mail order companies. It was on the homepage for quite awhile. That is why I made my comment. Why he doesn't remember? Who knows....maybe old age? :0) Maybe it became a sore spot. Either way, water under the bridge.....they are making a fantastic effort to keep it from getting that way. Kudos to them for that! :o)

Yes.. I remembered yesterday. Sorry I had forgotten. Could be old age. More likely too busy, but hope that clears this problem up.

NOBODY beats Charlie and his staff for customer service. I have never had a bad experience, and I have over 1000 transactions. Charlie, if you have been having a problem, I havn't notice it. No talking smack to Charlie and his crew, they are the best.

Charlie and staff are great. I receive my items in 7 days also; you can set a calendar by it. But I'm on the west coast. I expect the parcel to take a week. There is not an item they sell I need to receive faster. I suppose if you requested Priority USPS, you could pay more and get the item faster. Myself, I wish to spend my money on trains, not shipping.
