Hi... I use norton myself which is very good. This wasn't a virus actually it was malware which I got while downloading what I thought was a program. Best advice I can give now is unless you are absolutely sure what you are downloading, don't do it. Malware in my opinion is worse than a virus. Very difficult to get rid of. I am going to have to re-format the machine.
