I am still green at lionel railroading, so here is a easy question for any one who would like to help a rookie..

I just purchased a 3482 milk car with platform.

Can I use an uncoupler / unload track, or do I need what is called a UCS?

Hi Tom. You will need a USC track. It has the control rails that engage the shoes on the 3482 trucks. When the "unload" button is pushed, these rails are energized and activate the unloading mechanism.
