I'm hoping someone here could help me confirm my recent discovery, that a Lionel 6464-1 I have is maybe a type 1, and not a type 3. According to Doyle's Lionel book, the type 1 has ribs on the inside walls of the boxcar. Is type 3 missing these ribs? Also, Doyle says that the type 3 has a smooth roof interior. Mine has a channel running the length of the car down the center, but otherwise is smooth. I have a original box that came with it, that is marked 6464-11 on the inside flap. Are there reproductions of this car, that maybe I have? Can anyone help? I want to be sure of what I have. Thanks a bunch and Merry Christmas!
