HO Train values

Have been in hibernation for several years. Have a decent collection of HO engines/locomotives and rolling stock. Where can I find a reliable publication that can help me research and possibly determine value of collection?

Re: HO Train values

Hello Greg:

the publications are a joke at times for pricing HO scale stuff, there is some stuff that is good out there, but a lot of junk was made and some of these books are insane.

best thing to do is search auction sites and look for items similar to what you have and go from there.

unless you have Vintage Lionel HO scale or Vintage Athearn, that stuff is highly collectible.

Older Bachmann stuff is usually junk unless you have something neat like a 4-8-4 or something of that nature,

almost all tyco is junk, but it has a collectors following.

the guides are a guide line, but they are not accurate for real world prices.

train shows is one of the better places to get information on this subject.

I hope this helps
