hi chuck frequent visitor and sometime buyer. just a question about using buy it now on all your auctions. doesn't this kinda make an uneven playing field. especially if you search on the traincity id and see items that arent even listed at the auction site yet? if any rare or hard to find items are listed isnt it possible to buy it before it actually is listed on the main auction site. still an unfair advantage to the guy who lives online... how about using buy it now after its listed for 3 days and no bids. wouldn't this be a better idea. just my .02 anyone elses thoughts on this?? joe endicott
No..... Items listed on traincity.com are totally seperate from our auctions on choochooauctions.com. Items listed on choochooauctions.com are exclusive and have nothing to do with any other marketing venue.
Buy-it-now is used on ebay as well as choochooauctions.com because it gives those who want to pay the asking retail price the oportunity to purchase first. However once there is a bid on any item the buy-it-now feature goes away and is not available.
But we do not list items on both sites at the same time unless it is a duplicate.
