I have an old Lionel Locomotive, but don't have a clue on how to determine its origin or value. The tag on the bottom says 027 and the number on the side is 2018. Any help would be appreciated.

i have the same locomotive as you do and i was wondering if you ever found out any info on it iwould like to find out what i have? thanks

the steam engine in question, 2018 was produced by LIONEL in 1956-1958/1961. it came with three differnt tenders (a)6026t (b)6026W (c)1130t.
(b) was the one with the whistle in the tender.
Fair Market Value would depend on the condition.
I would advize taken it to a localmodel train club and have them look at it.
