I purchased a brand new Lionel NYC Dreyfuss Hudson a couple of years ago. It has little power and cannot pull four (4) heavyweight passenger cars (of an NYC set I dropped another $400 on), whereas my $400 non-command Lionel Pacific pulls the same set easily.
I was too frustrated to send it back to Lionel, but was wondering what the problem was. It's not a problem with resetting the Odyssey System, because I did that entire rigamarole in both command and non-command modes.
Can ANYONE tell me what is wrong with this thing and whether they have encountered a similar problem before? The $###%% thing seems to get weaker the longer you run it - an expensive piece of junk.
