I have my original 208 engines with the complete set and it has been unrun for its entire life. The nose decals are beginning to rot. Anybody out there know who has a pair of these????
If your 208's are really unrun and Mint, you never, ever, replace the nose decals. I've opened a sealed 2243 from my collection and the nose decal was not 100%, just tell tale signs of age from sitting in a box for 49 years.Whether or not your 208's are part of outfit #1605W, or #1626W, keep them as they are!
I will not touch them, they have sat untouched for years and I took them out(the entire set) to display behind glass and saw that the decals were starting to go. Thought they could be changed but it seems there have not been any made....ever.
