hello, i have a standard gauge lionel 1989 384 steamer,i am using a mth 75 watt transformer, 42" loop of track with 6 strights.it powers the engine fine. but i have to crank up the juice to get the whistle to sound good at the cost of a fast running train.
would a 100 watt transformer take care of this?
having a small lay out i don;t want a mega power station.
