Does anyone know how to get texts and links inside of buttons on your website?...
Could someone help me? I have to do a website for a project in one of my classes. I can't seem to figure out how to get the links in the red buttons you see on the left-hand side of the page. I know the code to put links on the page, but I don't know the link to get them inside the button. Could someone please help me?
Here is a link to the site so you know what I'm talking about.... http://jazzfirstpage.bravehost.com/index134.html
Re: Does anyone know how to get texts and links inside of buttons on your website?...
The buttons on templates from the Template Gallery are graphic images. They provide you with a blank button (blankbutton.gif), and you are suppose to annotate it using a graphic editor. They only give you one blank button, so save each one you create with a different name.
The same is true with the image in the top left of your web page. Your page currently contains a image named "topleft.gif". To replace it with your own Site Name and Slogan, use the provided image named "topleftblank.gif". Edit it with a graphic editor, save it under a new name, and then change the reference in your HTML. All of your images should be in the "images107" folder.
A good free graphic editor, that can be used to annotate your buttons can be had from IrfanView.com.
You might want to try this link to my help page on Working With Bravenet Templates. The page on Template Editing has links to several good free web page design applications.
Another resource, on using Templates from the Template Gallery, is the May 25,2007 Newsletter. You can find it in your Bravenet Account Manager under "Resources --> Bravenet Newsletters". Their recommendations are Photoshop, GIMP, and Paintshop Pro. But other programs can be used.

Bravenet has no graphic editing capabilities. To edit the graphics, download the images to your PC, create your buttons and logos, and then upload them back to your web site.
