Actually, it was Quincy Jones who thought of having Vincent on the project after Thriller's writer Rod Temperton expressed his desire for someone in the horror genere to do the vocal. Peggy Lipton (Quincy's wife at the time) knew Vincent, asked him if he'd like to do it, and he agreed.

okay he did a recording for thriller but in stadium arcadium i heard they took a recording of his sinister laugh. does anyone know if thats true and tell me where to look for proof?
