Having button and template trouble

I am using template #127. It is a USA flag theme with a ribbon in the upper left corner. Now I can put my information into the page and get the links to work properly but I am having 2 problems right at this point in time.

Problem #1: I can't seem to change the upper right corner of the template where is says: Sitename, and right under that it says: www.yourdomain.com. If you can help it would be great.

Problem #2: I am trying to put words to my links and other pages on the buttons that are on the template. Now I have been able to link the buttons to take me to the other pages but I have not been able to get the names onto the buttons as of yet and I have tried many different ways of doing it. The code that is in the template for the buttons is: img border="0" src="images127/blankbutton.gif" width="190" height="30" with the <> around it.

If someone can please help me with these 2 problems that I am having I would GREATLY appreciate it.

Re: Having button and template trouble

Oh, I am still working on the website so all the buttons are not linked as of yet. Trying to figure out these problems first of all.

Re: Having button and template trouble

The images should be opened and edited in a graphics program. This isn't something you do online. You add text to the image, and upload it to the images127 subdirectory. And, of course, you also change the coding from blankbutton.gif to wolfbutton.gif (or whatever).

Re: Having button and template trouble

Well, thanks Corwings. I actually did not think about that the other night, probably because I had not had any sleep in like 2 straight days.

Since you help me out, I have actually went and made my buttons and remade the upper right corner logo.

Now I just have to finish the rest of the pages so I can be finished with making the site and we can actually start using it for the Cub Scout Pack.

So Thanks Again.

Re: Having button and template trouble

Looks nice! But do you think perhaps white text on the buttons? Not all computers have the same settings, I suspect your screen is brighter than mine, making the black stand out more against the blue.

Re: Having button and template trouble

Was actually thinking of making the lettering on the buttons a yellow in color.

Would like to have gold but yellow is close enough.

Reason for the gold is that the cub scouts have a blue and gold banquet at the end of the school year where the higher ranking boys cross over into boy scouts and everyone else gets to move up a rank.

But thanks again for the tip and the help.
