Olde South Christmas Ball

Olde South Christmas Ball - December 15, 2012
Airport Marriott, Greenville, South Carolina

Held once again in the beautiful Greenville Marriott ballroom, we are looking forward to another sell-out, magical evening and we would be honored to have you join us!

The always-elegant Timeless Dance will be our dance mistresses again, keeping us stepping lively on the dance floor to vintage tunes provided by the award-winning Blueridge Rounders. Four sets of dances will be offered--some old favorites along with the new. There is something for everyone. Don't forget - a free dance practice will be held in the afternoon for any wishing to participate.

Your ticket again includes a delicious formal supper and homemade dessert with coffee. You will not go away hungry!

Free formal photos will again be taken by our Olde South Ball Photography Studio. Past ball photos are free and available on our Picasa site here: www.picasaweb.google.com/oldesouthball. Informal shots are also posted there for your enjoyment.

Our charity silent auction will be bringing you very unique offerings. Ye Olde South Bazaar will again feature special hand-made wares for your last-minute Christmas (or birthday or anniversary) shopping for your special loved ones.

Registration is open! You may register via check with our mail-in order form (available for download on our website) or register securely with a credit card online. Registrations are already coming in and we sold out in 2011 so don't wait too long to register! www.oldesouthball.com/register

We are still commemorating the sesquicentennial of the war. For those interested in beautiful Secession Cockades, you may order any time via the website. (We will also offer them at Ye Olde South Bazaar.) On our Bazaar page, click on the "creativecockades" link at the bottom of the photos. We have new cockades to choose from. The site also contains background information regarding this little-known aspect of history. Secession cockades were very popular and everyone wore them---men, women, children. And they were even hung on animals, wagons, and homes!

Questions? Much more information can be found on our website: www.oldesouthball.com

Please join us and make this another Olde South Christmas Ball to remember!
