Lexington Confederate Memorial Service May 13, 2012

This coming Sunday, May the 13th, 2012 at 2:30pm, the Lexington Confederate Memorial Service sponsored by the Davidson Guards SCV Camp and supported by the 38th NC Troops will be held. It will take place in the Lexington Cemetery at 400 N. State Street, Lexington, NC 27292. The Cemetery is located a block off Main Street behind Sam’s Car Wash. There are 75 Confederate Veterans buried in this cemetery, and all will be marked with the Confederate Battle Flags.

Following the service we will lay a wreath at the Confederate Monument on Main Street across from the old Courthouse in the center of uptown Lexington.

All reenactors that wish to participate need to be there by 2:15pm to fall in. We have the permit as usual to fire volleys. Anyone that wants to come early, there are many Lexington style Barbeque Restaurants all around town.
