The event was beyond words for me but will try to add some intelligent comments later. I will say that I did hear the Major over the hill a few times during the afternoon battle though. It sounded as if a whole brigade was coming to our assistance.

We sure did miss Captain Baucom during the afternoon battle, but his crisp READY AAAAAAIIMMMMM FIRRRE! commands echoed not far away off the wavering dunes amid the wind crys of a sun bathed sea!
