A grave marker dedication ceremony is planned for one of Michael Moore's ancestors, and he would like to get an idea of how many reenactors are planning to attend. I believe Mike has discussed the event with everyone on the "To" list, but others are welcome to attend as well.
Date: Saturday, April 7th (Easter weekend)
Time: 3:00 PM
Location: Joel Denny Family Cemetery, Burge Rd., Surry Co., NC (near Pilot Mountain)
Directions: From intersection of US Hwy 52 and NC Hwy 268 in Pilot Mt. (exit #134), go west on NC Hwy 268 for 1.5 miles and turn left on Burge Rd. Follow Burge Rd. for .9 miles to the cemetery on the left. It is surrounded by a 4 ft chain link fence with an unlocked gate and is located close to the road.
More information (coordinates, map, photo) is available at, http://cemeterycensus.com/nc/surr/cem132.htm

We will be installing a Southern Cross of Honor, and perform some general cemetery maintenance, on the Friday afternoon preceding the dedication. A military marker is pre-existing.
For those that can attend, plan on arriving by around 2:15 pm if you can. That should give us enough time for weapons inspection and getting organized.
A special thanks to all the reenactors that attended and helped to make the ceremony such a great success! It couldn't of happened without the support of these fine men and women.
