2012 ANV max events

2012 ANV max events

Rex posted the ANV max events today.

June 9-10: Valley Campaign Cross Keys/Port Republic
August 3-5: 2nd Manassas
October 20-21: Cedar Creek

Also, the ANV is to have a 600 man battalion at South Mountain. We need to register soon for that.

Re: 2012 ANV max events

A couple of notes...

All three of the ANV events will be held at the Cedar Creek Battlefield in Middletown, Virginia.

The Second Battle of Manassas is scheduled for the first weekend in August, which I assume will be our Living History weekend at Gettysburg.

Re: 2012 ANV max events

Yes and yes. You are correct, Sir!

Re: 2012 ANV max events

Am already preparing the PTO and savings for next year. All I can say is wow we are going to be busy.

Re: 2012 ANV max events

Yep, just like always for us!

Re: 2012 ANV max events

1862 will be a busy year, so we need to pace ourselves. We have some tough choices, but really need to prioirtize and stick to it, or else we will go into "burnout" before we get to Maryland.

Re: 2012 ANV max events

Do you have a list of potential events yet? Should we ask everybody if they know of any events coming up too?

Brian

Re: 2012 ANV max events

Gentlemen,

Here is the information for the Latta Plantation event for 2012, copied from an e-mail from Matthew Waisner, Events Coordinator at Latta:

The Civil War Reenactment for 2012 will be April 20-22. This is the only month that would work with our schedule as well as the 150th schedule. There is also an event here May 19th and 20th recreating the Muster of the 53rd NC Company B Mecklenburg Greys. This is going to be a big event and I hope you all can make it out.

If you have any questions please let me know.

Thank You

Re: 2012 ANV max events

The 150th Anniversary of the Fall of Fort Macon may also be the weekend of April 21st and 22nd.

And on a related note, registration opened yesterday for "Lee Takes Command", the Seven Days Battle (reenactment of the battles of Gaines Mill, Seven Pines, and Glendale). The event will be held on a 200 acre estate in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, on June 16th and 17th. Go to http://www.leetakescommand.com/ for more information.

Re: 2012 ANV max events

The website for "Maryland, My maryland" is:
http://www.marylandcampaign150.org/Reenactment.html
Registration opens up later this month. The event is Sept 8-9, 2012.
We need to get this in soon since total ANV registration will be limited to 600 total.
Please let me know if you are interested. I will need the registration fee up front. I'll have details soon.
