As many of you know, the 2NCMI held events at Green River Plantation, but moved the event to the spring and reserved the first weekend in November for traveling to Bluff City in support of Pappy's Zollicoffer event.
I received word yesterday from Pappy that the event has been canceled.
I have contacted the Plantation owners this morning, and they are delighted to host "Stoneman's Raid into western North Carolina", on November 5-6, 2011. If you have never been to Green River, you have missed a treat, we usually camp on the grounds of the plantation, and either fight around the grounds or in an adjacent field that affords plenty of room for maneuvering.
Details are not complete, but the Hosts are probably going to offer a dinner play this year, along with Saturday meal, firewood, water, indoor facilities, etc.
