MIL Week #1
The MIL regular season opens tonight and tomorrow. Although this is week #1 it is very important for all four teams to start strong. It sounds like some of the boys who sat out last week for the Trojans will be back. Hopefully they all get focused on what is important and do the things needed to stay on the field. They have a legit shot at Kamehameha, but will need to be at full strength to maintain for 4 quarters. Kekeaulike and Maui is a big D1 match up. Neither team can afford a loss if they want to keep pace with Baldwin. Same can be said for Trojans and Warriors in regards to Lahainalun. Week #1 and must win situations for all four teams. |

WOW! Prior to the begining of the season I thought Saint Anthony had the talent to compete with their D2 bretherens and the rest of the MIL, perhaps pull off a win here & there (d1 or D2), quite frankly i was suprised at turn of events against Kamehameha-maui lastnite...The warriors will not go away into the wailuku nite against Lahainaluna so easily next week, they will be competitive & would love nothing more than to come away with a "w" September 14th & secure the 1st round Division 2 title game. Watch out they might catch Lunas sleeping OR Wake up a sleeping giant. |

St.Anthony looked like they ran out of gas in the 2nd quarter,just too much players going both ways. Why is Buta Wilhelm-Ioane not the starting QB, he seems to have better command of the offense. |

I actually like Arrone Santos at QB better than Ioane. Buta is a great athlete and I would prefer to get him the ball as either a running back or on short passes. As the QB he reminds me of Kalehua Moniz from Baldwin a few years ago. When he is at QB the defense knows there is a very good chance he is going to scramble. If Santos is there I think they have a better chance of disguising what they are going to do and they should be able to expand what they want to do. One wideout on obvious passing plays is way too limited. Don't take this as a knock on Buta. I think he is their best overall player. I just would want to use him as a receiver or working off the wing. |

Brian Pali is showing signs of being a pretty good quarterback for Kamehameha-Maui. He is a good athlete that has potential. I would have liked to see him there as early as his sophmore year and move Keahi Raikes to a wideout. Keahi was fast and had good hands and would have been a terrific receiver. Brian would have benefitted tremendously if he would have been qb for the past couple of years. I think he might have been the JV qb his soph year, but even if he had been the varsity backup I think he would of benefitted from the varsity competition. This Friday against the Lunas will be a big test. |

I agree, the Santos boy is the teams balanced QB. Ioane-Wilhelm is your "reggie bush" type player, all around, mr versatility, an offensive co-ordinator would have a field day with that type of athletic prowess, screens, middle screens, bubble screens, off-tackle, end arounds, go-deep 1 on 1, etc, etc. Both Kamehameha Maui & Saint Anthony both have size in the trenches, it's plain an simple they may have even better athletes than the Lunas, but Lahaina has been known to carry a reputation as one of the state's most diciplined football programs. |

How come no lockerooms anymore at Kamehameha-Maui for visiting teams. I watched fridays game and the Trojans has to stay out on the field during halftime while the Warriors had there own lockeroom |

Season Ticket Holder you got me for a second when you mentioned-Keahi Raikes-for a minute there I thought OMG, he didnt graduate yet!, he was a hell of a quaterback & player. DaMan, did Saint Anthony opted to stay on the field or where they not allowed to use the visitors locker rooms at all ? Lunas had better be ready, if Kamehameha can limit the turn-overs to say NONE, they have more than a shot at up-setting Lahainaluna, they just need to play mistake free football all 4 quarters. |

I think that if they had properly assessed Brian Pali from his sophmore or even junior year, they should have moved him to QB and had Raikes play wide receiver. Keahi was a very talented athlete and they could have had Pali throw to him. Same concept I think the Trojans need to do with Ioane. Develop Santos at QB and let him throw to Buta. |

Kamehameha-Maui has converted the visitors lockerroom into a pre-school. Teams will have to stay on the field during halftime while the Warriors have their own lockerroom. |

Hawaii on tap. oia WHITE key match-up this weekend Kaimuki bulldogs vers waipahu marauders, both schools represented the oia white in states last year last weekend. konawaena defeats kamehameha-Hawaii in biif division 2 reguler season play. ilh, it's a flip of the coin 2 equal teams iolani or damien, pac5 just not there yet to make a convincing run. |

The makers of advertised the film as if it were elba esther snte with a blimp, though Williams' score is arguably his most Goldsmith-ian work emphasizing action and momentum over melody (though the score does feature two memorable main themes), and, like Family Plot, has frustratingly never had an official soundtrack release. Around the same time, Williams was announced to score Michael Winner's Satanic horror film THE SENTINEL, but wisely backed out at the last moment -- reportedly due to illness, but probably it was simply good sense, as anyone who has seen Winner's film can attest to.
