Re: registiring as a disabled person

I have recently moved from Cumbria to Fife where I voluntarily had my name added to the Disable Register. However so far all attempts to do so in Fife have left me frustrated. Fife Regional Council inform me they no longer have such a Register which was done away with some time ago, neither do they have an obligation to have one. My understanding is that all Councils must have one and it is maintained via Social Services, this information is given on the Government website, it certainly does not state 'but not in Scotland'. Is anyone else out there having dificulty appending their name to the ~Disabled Register?
