I'm glad that your writer's block has lifted a bit. It's always a major pain in the butt to deal with. I hate it. Especially when you know of another part in your story that you want to write so bad, but you can't 'cause you aren't to that part yet. I still write those parts down so I don't forget them, and it sort of motivates me to think my way through it.
Mortastic, lol! That's awesome (my newest invented word is "fantabulous," and ever since I've seen Elf I've been obsessed with the word "ginormous"). And I don't think you're insane, since I can be the same way sometimes (I think all writers are a bit out of their skulls most of the time).
Oh, here's something I thought you'd appreciate. My school has "Spirit Week" coming up and the first day is career day. Me and my friend Renee both wanted to go as writers, and she asked me, "How do you dress as a writer? Don't they dress normal?" I said, "I'm gonna come with these funky looking glasses and an ancient bathrobe and a can of Mountain Dew and a screwdriver sticking out of one pocket. I'LL BE MORT RAINEY!!!" Hehe . . . but then they sent around a flyer saying that no pajamas of any kind would be allowed so I was like, "Dang it! That's pretty much all Mort wears in that movie." I'll just go as a cowgirl . . . yesh.
*salutes* Anytime you find yourself in a rut with a book, I'll see IF I can do anything to help.
I just had to post that Alicia Silverstone quote. That was so funny. I mean, just saying that the film Clueless was very deep is enough to send me into hysterical laughter. |
