Seatpost clamps
Bit of a silly question: What size clamp do I need for a Ti frame that takes a seatpost size of 27.2mm? I'm currently living on the other side of the world to my bike so can't measure it myself. I think I need a 28.6mm but was hoping that an enigma one would fit. I realise you'll be guessing but just wondering as I'm not sure where the measurements are taken on your clamps. Cheers, Rob |

Hi, I have a Seven Sola. There is an internal composite shim and the ti tubing is pretty thin-walled. Sorry again- I feel a bit silly asking you to guess my seat tube diameter. I'm hoping to get my hands on my bike in the next 3 weeks so may be able to measure my current clamp... Thanks again, Rob |

Hi Rob, I have an old Raleigh Dyna-Tech Ti frame and a XACD Ti frame. Both frames take a 27.2mm seatpost but the external diameter of the frames differ. The DT's seat tube is 31.6mm and the XACD is 31.8mm. I've used a Campag Carbon seatpost clamp 31.6mm - 31.9mm clamp on both. http://www.totalcycling.com/index.php/product/parts_accessories/seatpost_spares/spc_clamp_asym.html Hope this is of help to you. |

Hi Rob It will be either 31.8mm or 34.9mm, my guess is 34.9mm, but you are right to wait until the frame arrives. Best regards Mark |

Hi Mark, Finally got round to ordering one of your clamps (you guys were right: 34.9mm!) Filled out the form on the Australian page (I now live in New Zealand) but have not been asked for any credit card details even though my order is "pending."
