Ti seatpost and silver stem & handlebars

Hi Mark/Jim

Just wondered if and when you will offering a titanium seatpost and would it be light? Or too heavy? Also, will you be offering a silver version of your stem and handlebars?

I will be going to the Bike show next week anyway and so will stop at your stand to look at your models, specifically the Etape.

Thanks

Re: Ti seatpost and silver stem & handlebars

Hi Kevin

We've no plans in the short term to offer bars and stems in silver, but.............

We have a new concept called LAB, which will feature on our new website and brochure, where we will offer really bespoke products. So, if you wanted a silver bar and stem we could offer this to you as a custom (LAB) option. We could take our standard bars and stem and mirror polish them for you and light anodize them if needed?

A titanium seat post is something we have always wanted to do and will produce one at some point in the future, we just have too many other projects at the moment.

Would be good to see you at the London show.

Best regards

Mark

Re: Ti seatpost and silver stem & handlebars

Mark thank you for the info regarding silver stem and handlebars. Tell me, does mirror polishing them and lightly anodizing them last? Or would they need doing again throughout their life (please excuse my engineering ignorance!)

cheers.

Re: Ti seatpost and silver stem & handlebars

Hi

Mirror polishing and then anodizing will mean the finish is very durable and last a very long time. Look at Campagnolo and Shimano's alloy products, they are finished this way and last years.
