Some very good tips. However, I believe I may have tripped up. The etiquette guide says that to ask someone to dance, you should say "May I have this dance?" "Would you like to dance". The Sunday before last at Jackie and Mark's improver workshop (a warm afternoon), my invitation to Linda was "would you like to come and get sweaty?" Was this wrong

"Would you like to come and get sweaty" sounds like an acceptable form of asking to me Certainly, with the weather we've been having lately, it's pretty accurate!I think the correct response to that request would be, "Yes, but please, no duck-under moves!" |
