  1. Why was the KOS started?
It was started to promote, participate in, and enjoy the Mardi Gras celebrations in Galveston, TX within our “Lifestyle” community and also to give the "Lifestyle" community an alternative to the same old cookie cutter parties and events that are put on week after week.

  2. Is the KOS a non profit organization?
Yes and no. We are not a traditional 501(c)(3), but we do not make a profit on any of our events or parties. Every bit of the money we collect goes right into that event or party. We do this to provide an exciting fun time for us and everyone around us, not to make money. The KOS is not a business, we are a social group.
